Chanter

All redpipe models have Polypenco chanters of McCallum. Specific gold laminated sensors recognize the fingering a player applies. The distance of the holes drilled into the chanter is exactly the same as on a traditional Scottish bagpipe. This makes it easy for a player to switch to a redpipe.

The redpipe French has a second thumb hole to support the French fingering (Remy Dubois).

The position of the chanter can be optimized by turning it to a comfortable position. The little finger hole is turnable in both directions to support playing with the fingertips for righthanded and lefthanded players.
